Dear parents, relatives and friends of the music programs at Maine South,
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! The MSHS Music Booster Organization is already busy identifying and organizing activities through which we will support the efforts, events, and learning opportunities for our student musicians this year.
The booster organization is a wonderful way for you to support the music programs here at Maine South. The students in the Choir, Band, Orchestra, and Guitar Programs are eligible to apply for scholarships for Private Lessons, scholarships for Summer Camps, and College Scholarships from the booster organization. The MSHS Music Boosters also provide help with concerts, equipment, guest musician artist clinics, travel experiences, snacks, uniforms, etc., and we respond to various requests for help throughout the year. In these tough budget times, your membership and support of the music booster organization is more important than ever. We are a recognized 501C3 not-for-profit organization so, although your membership/dues are not tax deductible, any additional contributions or donations you make now and throughout the year are tax deductible for you. Please join the boosters and get as involved as you can!
The membership form is available by clicking HERE. We hope that you will join and volunteer to support these fantastic music programs. By becoming a member, you will stay informed and be able to support your student in his or her pursuit of music. You will also have a chance to meet and work with teachers, staff and other parents of student musicians. There are many ways, some involving very small time commitments (like ushering a concert), that you can choose to help this year.
